The appearance of commercial ball-gathering `bots tailored to the
Playground seems somewhat unlikely. There are a few small
Stamp-based kits that would provide chassis, motors, wheels and
brain in a package small enough to fit the Playground - like the
"Pocket-Bot" (www.divent.com). But you'd need to add the right
sensors and something to gather balls with, not to mention
effective ball-gathering behaviour. The Pocket-Bot would also be
unnecessarily complex, which loses you points.

I see no reason to limit participation to scratch-built `bots.

Best,

Steve
