Here is what I think is inside your HEAD based on your earlier comments 8^)

This circuit should work but needs a little more for the "dead-head"
feature. Note that the 1381 trip point is double the normal trigger voltage
(Vt+) and the hysteresis is Vt+ plus 300mV Has anyone used this hysteresis
feedback idea? I am curious to see the real thing (your head that is).
