Hi Jim,
You know you may have a really good point there. Most of the builders with
similar interests do that anyway. Weekly chats have been made available, and
the chats usually go in their own direction depending on who is there anyway.
If there is an occasional posting that's a tad CPU related, I think it could
be tolerated. Look what we've been doing here for the last week anyways.
There may not really be a problem here. If an outlet can be found for the
hunger that exists out here (like the weekly chat) it would mean only the
slightest of occasional infringement of the disputed list rules anyway. I
really never saw the CPU, newbie thing as an issue. The list goes ghostly
dead at times. The newbie questions are really kinda rare, maybe less than 10
a day on busy weeks. Usually only one or two every now and then. Look at the
space I wasted here ranting about how much space we waste. You know, a lot of
what I've learned, I learned from reading the posts on more advanced topics.
The beauty here is that we can all eavesdrop on others exchanges of
information. Even if it's beyond what you are presently working on, it may
contain little tidbits that you can file away for later. Just let the
information flow and quit sparing over it. It will equal out itself. If it
ever does come to the point of non newbie (to be honest I'm really gray on
that term anyway) or CPU strings taking over (and I really doubt that), then
we can all start squaring off.
Jim
