I didn't copy your notes to this because I agree with everything you said.
This should be made a group effort. And I would prefer those who consider
themselves at the top would contribute as well. It would be beneficial to the
entire BEAM community. An official BEAM archive arranged in a manner to
document progress. That sounds reasonable to me. Breaking it down into
sections would be a logical approach to such a large project. I think a
hypertext setting would make it more available to all interested. Access with
the possibility of contribution. Little to ask for so much benefit.
