They were originally from a Marlin P. Jones surplus purchase, with a pager
motor conversion adapter we had custom machined. The gearmotors are
actually Canon DG12's. The associated motor is very close in power to the
pager (slightly stronger, actually), but has very little compliance, which
leads to no electrical feedback and very often stripped gears. You wanna
buy them new from Canon? They won't talk to you unless if you want the 1250
minimum order at around $21/ea.....

We're investigating other leads for gearmotors. When we have something,
we'll letcha know.
