I had an idea of instead of wings it could have a folded hang glider type of
wing. It would have a piggy back cap that held a charge activated by a cliff
sensor. When the bot runs of the end of the table the wing deploys and it
sails gracefully down to the floor. I don't know if this would work, but I
think it would be easier mechanics than a flapper and all the aerodynamics
involved.
