Subject: [alt-beam] alternate energy sources


It is true that you can draw electrical current from radio waves, thats
how a radio works. The problem is that even though they can travel far
distances, you need INPUT power in order to amplify the waves enough to
do anything... therfor I don't think there is any hope in using radio
waves as a power source for BEAM tech.

Wind power might be a possibility but it would take a highly efficient
generator with almost no mechanical resistance in order to generate
enough usable current to make a bot "somewhat" active.

Solar power is also an alternative energy, that's why we use it. It is
also powerful enough for the purpose (It is a fusion power generator,
the sun) I think we should focus on using this source more efficiently,
unless someone invents a fusion power plant the size of a pea...
