Subject: [alt-beam] I am having major problems, help!!!!

Please help.
Ok, I bought parts for a solarengine (The normal diode triggered Solarengine.
The first one on this page http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/robots/pg16.htm ) I
have a solar cell from a small am/fm radio and i have 4700uf 35v cap and 2200
uf 50v cap an some 1000uf ones. I used NPN 2N3904 Transistor and PNP 2N3906
Transistor and 2.2k ohm resistor. and a diode i found from an old thing i
had, i tried using 2.8v flashing red led but it didn't work. Ok so nowwhen
everything is set up it doesn't work!!! :( To test it i used a battery to
instead of a cell, well before it worked fine, it charged and motor was
running, but now it doesn't( i reasembled it before and now) It woked with a
battery, and 2200uf 50v cap. But no i don't know what, I spent two and a half
days sitting there and redoing it all the time and i cant get the simplest
working engine to work! Maybe it is the motors fault(the motor i used from a
picture camera that rewinds the film) But if it was why doesn't it work when
i connect a battery that suposed to be powerfull. I know that the motor is
working, since i can connect it to a battery and it runs perfectly. Doe
sanybody knows what is wrong with this whole thing. By the way can a diode
burn out or break from soldering it to much or can the same thing happen to a
transistor? OK i hope somebody can help me to get started with this simples
thing :(, Thanks =^)
I hope somebody can help me,
Oleg
