The 4700uF should work. I'm pretty sure the 25V is a maximum not a minimun,

if it's a big blue thing with a two cyan stripes, it should be the same kind
I
bought. You can also use three 1000uF in parallel (capacitance sums in
parallel
like resistance does in series).
Now, just so you know, I havn't got my solar engine working yet, but I've
tested
the cap pretty thoroughly, and think the problem's with my diode. Which
brings
me to my question, what kind (of diode) are you using, and have you had any
luck
with it?

Well, i was using a switching diode or something like that(its like small
orange brown glas thing.) The engine works with this diode when i connect it
to a battery instead of the cell. The cell doesn't start the motor, I can
barely hear like a small roraing from inside of the motor like it doesnt have
enought power to turn. ( I used a motor from a camera that was broken.) But i
tried using 2.8v red flashing led and it didn't turn the engine on, it
flickered when i removed the light bulb from the colar cell for a while. but
if i connected a regular battery 1.5v instead of the cell it didn't work
either, i dont know why. I am also using 2.2k ohm resistor in case u wanted
to know.
