Subject: [alt-beam] Interested in a Soccerbot Platform?

I was curious, I'm now moving to turn my small parts sourcing buisness into=
a small Robotics Mail order Buisness. But as of right now I'm interested i=
n what I could do as unique kits. As a start I was thinking about Soccer bo=
t robot platforms. This "kit" would basically enable you to make several id=
entical Robot platforms on which to test you ideas. What it would include i=
s two nice gearhead motors. Pre-cut material for the platform. (That yellow=
stuff that Lynxmotion uses most likely) Perhpas some Rechargable NMH batte=
ries? A small but roomy Breadboard, and some other things. That way the bot=
would be a complete platfrom for whatever designs you wanted to test out. =
At this moment the motors I have WOULD be suitible for a Solar Powered Robo=
t as well. So that could work out nicely for the BEAMERs. It would work gre=
at with Bicores, Microcores, Basic Stamps or any other controll system your=
heart desired. The cost would run pretty cheap compared to other simmilar =
products. About $75 US dollars. And the price per each would go down depend=
ing on the number you wanted to order. =

Another question, what shape would be most prefered on this platform? Squar=
e is pretty typical, but It could be a Hexagon, Just to resemble some ones =
Famous PCB's. Is there any interest in such a product? Are there any other =
products people are looking for?
