Subject: [alt-beam] walker questions

Hey peoples!

Last night I bread-boarded a microcore, complete with H-Bridges and
servos. I was very surprised when it worked! So then I built the
microcore on some prototyping board (leaving the H-Bridges on the
bread-board) a tested it again - it worked. So now I built one of the
H-Bridges on the board with the microcore (and left the other one on the
bread-board) and now I'm having problems. When I turn it on it's in the
saturated state (same as on the bread-board) but I short 1 of the 1M
resistors quickly to get it going. I goes through one to about 3 cycles,
and then switches back into the saturated state, and I have to short the
resistor again.

Can anyone tell me what's going on??????

I haven't built the frame yet, I'm waiting for the motors from James.

Also, how do solar walkers work? I mean, do they use an SE to charge a
large cap and then walke a couple of steps, or charge a smaller cap,
move one leg, charge, another leg...

Thanks

Chris
