No critism implied in that last note, and no offense intended. I thought
the question should be asked. Here's my 2 cents worth:

Bruce Robinson, retired mechanical engineer, age 49, married. I live in
the middle of a forest on the side of a mountain in south-central
British Columbia.

I keep my mind, body, and soul active by managing the 14 or so acres of
forest that I own; practicing & teaching karate; learning HTML (my 15th
programming language, I think); writing; operating a tiny machine shop
in the basement; and now BEAM.

I've built nothing (yet) -- I'm in the dis-assembly stage. If it hasn't
been used for 6 months and hasn't got any re-sale value, it gets
dismantled and added to the "beam box". The family worries. I think they
hide stuff. For me the aesthetics part of BEAM is in using what would
otherwise end up in the dump. If only I could get things that match.

My BEAM goal: imagine a cat-sized walker set loose in the woods ...

Regards,
Bruce
