Subject: [alt-beam] Re: Personality
Oh joy, another chance to talk about my favorite subject, myself! 8)
NAME:My name is Brien S. Martinez but I am known by my handle as "TurtleTek"
(perhaps "Smart Inez" would have been better, eh? 8)
HISTORY: My parents are spanish (from Spain, of course. Some people don't know
the difference between Spain and latin america) and my first language is
spanish. I spent my parts of my early childhood in Spain and Houston, TX. By
the time I was 7 I knew english fairly well and we were living in
WestVirginia. We then moved to Oklahoma then from there to Springfield, MO
where I have been living the past year. We try to get back to Spain when we
can to visit our [extended] family. Oh, btw, I have 2 younger sisters.y
AGE: I'm 15, birthday is Feb, 7 1984.
INTERESTS/HOBBIES: My hobbies include turtle breeding, BEAM, HTML, and
computer hardware. I am a novice in all those technical fields but I know my
way around turtles.
My first hobby was turtles when I started keeping them when I was 10. I didn't
start breeding until I was 12. (and no, I don't make much money selling the
surplus neonates, I wish I could!). I would tell you the species I breed and
keep but that would be a waste of time.
I later (around age 13) started getting interested in the internet and when I
first found out that I could have my own site I started learning HTML. It was
only a month after I had learned the basics and more did I find out that there
were programs to do the HTML for me! I still do all my HTML in notepad.
The hardware hobby came shortly after HTML, I just started opening the case of
my computer and getting a few books so I know the basics of computer hardware
now. Whenever I can get some RAM the first thing I do is crack open the case.
BEAM came when I was about early 14 (a year from now) when I read some stuff
online and shortly afterward when I saw that "Robots Rising".
I've always liked video games (who doesn't?) and my favorite PC games are Red
Alert, Total Annihilation, and all those MUDs (Valheru, anyone?). My favorite
N64 games are MarioKart64 and Mario64. Favorite PSX game is MonsterRancher,
Its little known but it's a blast.(huh?, you ask? Search yahoo)
I also like Star Trek, but as Richard said, "I'm not crazed".
Favorite classes are Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
PERSONALITY: I thought I should add this as it is the name of the thread. I am
an overall nice guy but my reaction to anyone that I feel is not worthy of my
attention is just ignoring them. This seems to cause a problem with my
relationships with other people as I live in Idiot Hick town (otherwise known
as Springfield, MO). Not to seem arrogant but I used to think that all people
are generally intelligent and reasonable. I think I grew out of that wierd
phase. Have you tried to talk with someone lately? Most people my age are
total ignorant fools that fail to notice that the world around them is more
than their little bubble! And remember, people my age grow up, and they aren't
much different then either. (none of this applies to any of you, of course. 8)
I have few friends but the ones I have are very good friends.
I have brown hair and am 5'8 (yeah, kinda short). I wiegh something like 130
lbs.
I could go on and on but now that you're all asleep at your keyboards, I'll
stop.

Yep, you'll notice on my site a "BEAM people" section that is currently down.
I HAD it finished but my computer "ate" it (I don't know enough about windows
to know what happened). It was just a collection of links, ICQ #'s, emails and
brief desriptions of the BEAM people I could supply that information about.
All these emails under the "Personality" thread will probably be on that page,
a sorry thing to call a page, just a collection of emails but oh well! 8)
