Well, as it seems this has become somewhat popular and there are no
complaints, i'll join in!

My name is Richard Piotter, I'm 19, and I live in Jackson, Minnesota, a
town that would otherwise be in the middle of no where, except a college
got built there and an interstate runs just north of town. Otherwise,
it's about 3000 population, which makes for a small town!

I have had my robots on TV, and got BEAM a little bit of airing through
the UPN produced "Algo's FACTory". The 1/2 hour show is an educational
program for children. Unfortunately due to some financial screwups by a
larger, more important UPN production, they found some loop holes that
let tehm cut out many lesser productions to make up for the larger on's
financial dificulties. As a result, Algo's FACTory got canned, but they
have already aired the robotics episode once,a nd I thing get to air it
one or two more times before the contract expires. I got 3 of the 5
robot's I'd built shown, a solarbotics photopopper, Walkman Jr. a 2
motor walker, and BORIS, a 6 legged muscle wire walker. I have the
episode taped, and when i get my video card, I want to maybe add some
tiny clips to my web site, or at least pictures and sound clips. The
program tends to air on Saturdays or Sundays, and at various times.
Check your TV listings to see if Algo's FACTory airs in your area. Maybe
you'll catch the robot's episode. I'm not sure when it airs again.

My hobbies are as follows: Electronics in general, specificly, BEAM
Robotics, TI Graphing calculators (hardware and software), computers
(Graphics, software, hardware, and I LOOOOOVE my new Blue and White
Power Macintosh G3). I have an interest in general biology (part of what
made BEAM so appealing), and also, I've alway had an interest in the
brain, and more recently neural networks. I adore My N64, amd specificly
love Blast Corps, Zelda (All of 'em), mario 64, Mariokart, and I want to
try GoldenEye 007. I also have gotten into some Play Station games,
since my Macintosh runs them. I've been addicted to Medievil for the
last week (YOU NEEEEEED to se "inside the Assylum" under a 400 MHz
processor!!! It doesn't slow down liek tghe REAL PSX does, so you have a
dozen cray guys in straight jackets running after you and no slowdown,
so they go faster than normal!!! AhhhhH!! :) I also like biking. I'm
more into speed, but a nice run through an empty park is always fun! I
like StarTrek (I watch th movies when they come on, or if nothing else
is on. I'm not a crazed trekie that dresses in uniforms and learns
Klingon though! :) Music, well, I like Metalica, AC/DC, Natalie
Imbruglia, Savage Garden, ABBA, Barenaked Ladies, Chumbawamba, various
70's and 80's pop, etc. I listen to whatever sounds good to me. I like
Garth Brooks and some of the BETTER country as well. I suppose I think
StarWars is cool, though i'm, more impressed by the frame rate my
computer pulls on that trailer than the content, though that is
impressive as well.
My car is a 1987 U.S.S. Rustoleum... Err... I mean Celebrity. I used to
have an 84 Pontiac Sunbird that had a turbo charger and could tear the
pavement from under me!!! It still spun it's wheels when i blew cracks
in 3 of my 4 cylinders!!! YIKES!!! Thaty turbo had some power!!!
I'm a christian, if anyone wants to know
I've got Brown hair/eyes (picture at my web page under the about me
section in the end of the news section) and I have no girlfriend.
Annoying little truth, but at least I'm not spending countless dollars
going out (dollars I do not have!)

I guess that's enough.
