Greetings List,
Remember that thread about LANL and it's websites and such? Well, In the news
I read about some kind of nuclear weapons being built in China, using stolen
technology from the US. The US suspects spies are selling these military
secrets to China. Now the US is going nuts trying to protect the information
in it's national labs (including LANL). Part of this scramble is protection of
it's computer networks and systems. The article did not say that the websites
were down because of this but I assume that this is the case. I don't have the
article with me and I was only able to skim it. Would the workshop be affected
by this?
I guess we'll know what's happened when the Chinese invade the US with giant
solar-powered robotic bugs. 8) hehe
Just thought this would be interesting. I'm just giving the information I was
able to quickly gather so no flames (I can't imagine why someone would,
but...).
