Typical problem, here your problem is almost totaly spikes in the power
supply. Where the motors are really playing havoc with stuff. What I do is I
put a .1uf cap across the hc14, (maybe two) and I add a few simmilar caps
on the power rails throught the circuit. I also add one larger cap, (222uf
or the likes) For good measure. and sometimes I put a small cap across the
motor inputs. Basically, you need to CLEAN UP YOUR POWER! maybe try
batteris. Something like that.
