:design circuits, but building according to somebody else's plan is
:another matter. If you are talking about Dave's Photopopper, the
:remedy has to be:

:- Check that you're using the right components.
:- Check that everything is connected as shown in the schematic,
: anodes, kathodes, collectors, emitters, bases, pins 1, 2, 3 and
: so on.

:And then it works according to specs, unless components are
:defective, which is rare. Small solar panels don't have the oomph
