Cutting them doesn't matter it's connecting to them that would be the
problem. They are just sandwiches whose area determines current. The
voltage is determined by the material but is close to .5 a volt.

Wow, so what if you buy a calculator cell in half, does that half that current
of half the voltage? Same for the Panasonic cells from Solarbotics?
