Yes it's possible to introduce extra pulses after the PNC have done its job.

There are various ways to eliminate multiple pulses.
I can't remember who have info about this. You have to search the web ring
for it or
look at the heretics site. A way do do it is with AND logic. Lately there
was a document
from Sean Rigter AFAIK that talked about a other solution.
