Subject: [alt-beam] bicore head

I've bread boarded a bicore, but it only seems to work at about 2.25V.
If I go any higher, all I get is a really high pitched whistle, and if I
go any lower then nothing seems to happen. I don't get enough torque out
of the pager motor like this. I'm going to gear it, but I still don't
think it's strong enough, unless I have a higher voltage. Could this be
because my power supply isn't regulated well enough? I haven't tried
batteries yet but I hope it will work better.

I have started to draw the PCB so I can etch it later today, but I want
to add N/O feelers to the head tat switch the direction of the motor if
they touch something. How would I do this exactly? I can do it by
pulling each photodiode out, but I don't want to make N/C feelers in
parallel.

Please reply ASAP because I want to etch the board asap

Chris
