If these are similar to Omron Mac ejectors, you may find some in
free/lowcost 800K Sony drives in the dumpsters etc. You will also find
inside a nice bipolar stepper, a photo interrupter, 2 tiny micro
switches, easy to use older style SMD resistors (little barrels) and
tiny header connectors for the motors etc. I can recommend the motors
with the following caveat:
No mod is needed but the cam/contact could be used as a limit switch or
index marker. In that case you must rotate the output gear to the right
position before soldering on the legs.
File and roughen the surface of the metal plate on the gear (and the
legs) before soldering. Remember the gear is made of "low melting
point!" nylon. Use some flux, solder quickly and cool off right away by
vigorously blowing on the metal plate. I have also used some 99% isoprop
alcohol for cooling but there is a safety issue with flammability and
fumes so "use at your own risk"! Once the plate becomes loose or falls
off from overheating it is difficult to repair (Anyone?)
