I wouldnt mind a newsgroup, it would be much easier to follow threads,
however newsgroups usually carry a much lower signal to noise ratio, with
all the off topic posting and trash.

I bet a few of you people out there on this list are probably getting
overwhelmed
by the volume of mail on this list.

There is a way to organise your mailbox, and this is for those who didnt
know this.
Probably like most of you, all my mail goes to one email address.
In my mail prog, eudora light, I added a folder called Beam.
Then set up a mail filter which redirects incoming mail, when set with the
correct argument, to where I want it to go. For Beam list mail I think I
had to use:
Match any header containing owner-beam@corp.sgi.com, then transfer to
folder Beam.
Its all in the help files and pretty easy to set up.
As I said, this is eudora, I am sure other mail progs can do it, but I have
no idea,
so experiment.
You'll find it easier to "find" mail from friends.. heh.. I already missed
a couple
before I setup a mail filter.

I hope this helps.
