Just a note on the motorized pots. I bought a few from Mouser (for a
non-beam project). While they work fine for their intended use, keep in mind
that they are designed so that you can also turn the pot by hand. This means
they have a very light clutch. If you hold the pot, the motor 'slips' very
easily, severly limiting the torque delivered to the pot. This means that
you probably can't drive a leg using the pot shaft. I took one (okay 2)
apart, but they are rather flimsy and I couldn't increase the torque to the pot.
