I experimented with controlling a conventional microcore walker with
a PIC (with mixed success) and made an entirely PIC-based solar robot
styled after the photo-popper design (great success). The latter design
is currently being revamped to use the lower power and more easily
programmed PIC16LF84 chip. I don't think I'd call it a "BeamBot" but
it was definitely influenced by beam ideas.
