Thanks! It is Science News (a weekly publication). Volume 140, No.22, Nov. 30 1991.

It's a cool looking design. The bot that they built is made of WOOD! They had it
hooked up to a big computer! Imagine, BEAM, shrinking that computer to ft ON the
robot! Hehe! (:

Like I mentioned earlier, I'm going to build the 36 neuron "body" and consider
the head later. Even that body is complex! It shouldn't be too dificult once I
figure out some of the details. As for inputs and outputs, I think the straight
line connections are outputs. I'm pretty certain of that, but I still could be
wrong. The triangle and circle connections are I think, inputs. The round ones
are presumably inhibitory, and the triangles excitatory. This is all
speculation. I'm trying to look for more information, however, the information
seems to be rather old, and I'm having trouble finding details over the net. I'm
going to FINALY get that library card for the local library filled out (hehe! :)
and check out ALL their scientific publications. I'll have to set asde a few
days to sit the and go through everythnig they have. I want to learn a LOT more
about this stuff. I could build the thing, with a few questions answered. I'm
going to contact Mark Tilden if I can force quit my "lazy mode"! I'm too tired.
Hehe! I can't even seem to keep a straight thought for a whole senten... (:
