Subject: [alt-beam] Re: crystal chip
To make a crystal-locked oscillator: connect a crystal between the input
and an output of one gate of a 74HC14 chip. Then use the output pin as your
clock frequency.
You can't get much simpler than that! One inverter, and one crystal! And
you have 5 inverters left over!
