Subject: [alt-beam] surface-mount components


I've just received a bag of assorted surface-mount components, and have
only managed to decipher the resistors and possibly the diodes. I've had
a look on the web, but can't see any info on identifying surface mount
components. I've never looked into S-M stuff before, being unfamiliar,
my search was probably poor. Does here anyone know of a guide of some
sort? I'm particually keen on finding out what transistors I've got, and
what some of the other components are.

Also, can you buy things like surface-mount HC245's? (His eyes gleam at
the bot miniturisation potential).
