Subject: [alt-beam] I found some geared Motors, will they work?
I was at the local etectronics surplus store yesterday and
found geared motors and was wondering if they are suitable
for a beam walker. The motors are made by namiki. They
are aprox. 1 mm dia. & 2mm long. The gear box is aprox.
1/2 mm thick and 3 mm long. The gears are brass. When I
hooked them up to a battery they turned very slow and had
plenty of torque. When the motor and gearbox are assembled
it looks like an L. Any info about these motors would be
appreciated. Thanks....... Zero
PS There is a brass pully on the shaft. What is the best
way to remove it?
