`uC' Is generally accepted to stand for `micro-controller', which
is a tiny, specialized kind of computer, usually on a single chip.
So it's more than a cpu, because apart from processing hardware it
also contains memory, i/o, and often assorted goodies like analog
comparators, timers, counters, uarts, and so on.
