Subject: [alt-beam] Transistor equivelant

I popped on over to my local industrial electronics store (Ralph's) and
asked for a couple of 2n3906 transistors. To make a long story short I
accepted afew ECG289A transistors instead. Well, guess what!? They don't
seem to be all that identical. Question is...does anyone know of a place
where I can find some kind of chart or table to double check these
numbers. The ECG289a seems to act like a NPN instead of a PNP.
