Subject: [alt-beam] Re: 240-based 'reverser' query
>1. No doubling = less current is the price you pay for this reverser
It is intended that you use a motor driver such as the H-bridge.
>2. Always use 74ACxxx for higher current (typ ~50mA per output)
It doesn't matter because you need a driver. So it's better the use an
74HCT240
>3. The diagram is wrong: the bottom output/input labels are swapped
My ISP has been down so I haven't been able to upload any of the pages
but this will be fixed. Input 1 and Input 1 go to Output 1 and Output 1
and likewise for the other reverser.
>4. Missing connections everywhere!
Like what? I use this circuit all the time so it must be right.
>5. Where did this diagram come from?
You're talking about the one at www.beam-online.com right?
>Want me to correct it?
It's already right so there's no need.
Sorry about half of my web site being down. It's just my $#$%^^%*& ISP.
It'll be up as soon as possible.
