Hi folks,
I haven't been real active of late, but I have been following the list.
Looks like the old "Is X really BEAM" discussion is at it again.
I don't have the answer, but I have posted a short paper
"A BEAM Layered Biological Model" on my site at:

in an attempt to make the analog vs digital "camps" see
each other's usefulness in terms of evolutionary biology.
