I remember that when I first read about BEAM tek, it was in an Equinox, it
was supposed to be a more efficient body that could house the robot brain
when that was developed well enough. I think that that should still hold (if
indeed it doesn't). OF course BEAM isn't making C3PO or any other 'bots like
that; it doesn't have the capacity. As I see it, BEAM bots are a very
interesting first step towards having bots like C3PO or whatever (why am I
reminded of the Meccano/Doll head thing from Sid's room in Toy Story?).
