Here's a bit part of the problem behind this discussion as I see it.
"...I could sware Tilden says his build up system..."
Ahh, 'HIS' build up system?
Ground up robotics controller design is NOT Tilden's intellecutal
property.
He should not claim that it is, and we should not propogate such a total
myth.
Ground up robotics controllers existed long before BEAM. In junior
highschool I read a book that started off with some simple TTL circuits
and made a robot that avoided obstacles or followed lines. As you added
more logic and sensors, its behaviors became much more complex and
robust. Hunger reactions, subsumption behaviors, it was all there.
Are we going to retroactivly claim that this was 'Tilden's' technology?
Heck, if thats the case, I wrote the theory of relativity, not Einstien.
Lets look at the real history of 'ground up' robotics, and then decide
what is, and is not BEAM, and also sho really invented it, and when.
Lets look at the facts, not the hype.
