You can measure the amount of current through a circuit component.

A couple of ways I think you can measure it (correct me if I am wrong,
list):

First method. You can measure current with a current meter. You have to
interrupt your circuit. That is, you have to put the current meter probes in

series with the circuit. So if you had this:

-----[Res]----- you'd measure current like this:

---[probe1] [probe2]---[Res]-----

Whatever the meter measures is the amount of current passing through the
resistor.

Second method. If you only have a voltmeter, you can measure the voltage
across a resistor and then use the formula I = V/R (current=voltage over
resistance) to figure out current through the resistor.

Any other methods?
