Subject: [alt-beam] How to make a solaroller and more....

Hi

I just got the first web page up that has a complete tutorial on how to
build a solaroller. There are other ones that only show you part of the
steps but this one is complete from start to finish. You start by
building a frame which can be easily modifiable to make a photovore. Then
we move on to the circuit. I have detailed 3D step by step instructions
on how to free form the 1381 solar engine. Then I'll show you how to put
the two together. As it turns out this is one of my favorite solarollers!
It's really cute and it zooms around and when it bumps something it just
bounces off and keeps going. I have built a lot of 1381 SE's with a
certain method but it was a little difficult for beginners so I sat down
and can up with a much easier way that is just as small!

The tutorial is good for....

Newbies to BEAM robotics and want to get started in BEAM
You want to know how to free form the 1381 SE
Advanced people that want to get ideas

Please look it over and send me any comments you have.

There are links to the pages in the "robot news on the main page at....

Tomorrows update will include the FAQ and an updated interface for the
robotics page. The FAQ includes info on where to find parts along with
part numbers.
