Ok, after a hard day's work of standing watch over a
network I rush home to start on a new photo popper, I mean
hey you just can't have one right? Well everything was
proceeding in such a perfect progression I felt as one with
the BEAM Universe. Every solder joint was a work of art,
each planned to the last detail, I was in the zone, always
thinking 3 moves ahead. Strategically bending the tiny
wires on the transistors, I molded them to my will
inspecting each connection under magnifying glass all was
right! Oh yes, finally a photo popper worthy of showing
off! The brain was 99% complete, one last resistor across
the left side 3906 base and the 3904 collector and the
masterpiece would be complete - on to the easy stuff. I
felt a sense of Euphoria! .......... One last bend
and....NOOOOOO!!!!!! Oh the humanity! Is there no justice
in this world? Feeling much like Lenny in the novel OF MICE
AND MEN I sat in silence scratching my head and wondering
why the collector on the 3094 had to snap off at the bottom
of the transistor. Ruined! I broke the glue and solder
joints on the 3094's and replaced them as best as I could.
Did I end up with a work of art? a masterpiece? No!
Instead, once again I end up with something that looks like
it was put together by a monkey with a soldering iron
smoking crack......
