Here I am reminded of the story of the king who wanted to cover all the
streets in his kingdom with leather to protect the feet of everybody
from dirt/heat/etc. Then someone suggested covering individuals' feet
with leather (... and shoes were born) :-)
Are you using any kind of coating/sleeves/tyres for your pager motors?
Use something that provides better traction.
