I'll just start by saying I'm working on an almost 350 gram photovore. It has a
giant 6x6 inch 9 volt 60 mA solarpanel. It uses a pair of MAXON motors, and a
clothes hanger frame and a swiveling wheel. Maybe I'll use a setup like was
recently brought up on the list. Not sure if I'll make it a devoted solar robot,
or a battery/solar type robot. I am not much for slow bots, so I'll probably
have a battery on it.

Anyway, as for the single gate chips, I like the idea, and I can't imagine a
company not taking advantage of such an opportunity. with devices shrinking,
every bit of board space is crucial. Have you seen MAXIM's engineering journals?
They have these little images showing their parts and the standard parts. they
talk about saving fractions of inches! Surely, with technology that concerened
about space, there is bound to be single gate components. I'm looking into this
toshiba thing! Imagine creating a complex Nu/Nv net easily, with each neuron
separate. It'd simplify trying to rouute all those traces! Plus, if you are
dextrous and crazy enough, you could probably figure out a way to freeform
complex circuits with them! I'd like to see that!
