Subject: [alt-beam] photovore problem of my own

hi everyone,
I just finished my free formed photovore after recieving parts from
solarbotics, the first version went bad as the lead on one of 1381 J's
broke as well as a photodiode lead, i repaired the photodiode but the
1381 ended up at the big semi-conducter heaven (or hell). I rebuilt
the circuit with 1381 N (3.4-3.7v) and it charges fine (with a
22000uf) and it seems to fire as the voltage dropped when i came back
to check. But the nimiki pager motors didn't move, they work with my
other solar engine. i used a 22mmx24mm panasonic cell (3.5v), do i
need to hookup a calculator solar cell or use a 6800uf capacitator
instead. On the subject of Dick woolies Smith, there motors are
absolute *crap*, along with their service and most of their other
parts. 50c for 1 monolithic capacitator, yuk! Although they are fairly
uncaring about counting the number of parts u got, u just tell them
the partnumber and ahhh, stretch the truth. regards, David Perry
