Subject: [alt-beam] Misc. questions
Hello fellow BEAMers:
Several months ago I started working, or rather playing, with BEAM. Because
I had to move, BEAM fell on my priority list and I am just now getting back
into it...Perhaps a bit soon, I started trying to figure out the uCore.
Successfully doing so,(complete with tactical sensors and NU neurons) I
abandoned the project of building a walker when I ran into problems finding
the mechanical parts such as motors, etc. Also the task of making my own PC
board did not appeal to me. Anyway...I would like to ask a few questions:
1) Before I postponed my BEAM projects for a while, everyone was saying that
Tilden's book Principa Robotica was close to being released. I, since, have
not seen nor heard anything about it. What are the latest developments
concerning it?
2)I would very much like to find some pager motors...without having to order
them from Solorbotics or the like. What are some alternative methods you all
have used to obtain them?
3)Are the hextile board available to be ordered? If not, will the be
available in the near...or anytime for that manner...future?
