Well, as a recent "ex-newbie" (meaning I'm not new to BEAM but I still don't
know the more advanced concepts), I would suggest that you not worry too much
about the microcore or walkers. Walkers are not for newbies, no-siree. I would
suggest you understand the SE (solar engine) and build a solarRoller as your
first bot. My first bot was actually a photovore (photopopper from SB, I
thought of solarrollers as pretty boring) and I found it to be easy to build
and the circuit easy to understand. I repeat, don't stress out too much about
the microcore, there are people that have built many walkers and even they
don't really understand it. Work on photovores, Symets and solarRollers until
you learn to do the basics (soldering, mechanics) perfectly then move on to
more advanced things and learn to do _those_ perfectly, repeat.
