Subject: [alt-beam] Panasonic BP-4852C9 specifications anyone?

Greetings BEAM fans,

Can anyone point me to an english language web page with Panasonic Solar
Cell specifications?

I have a BP-4852C9 solar cell, and I'm looking for its specifications.
The only site I found was in Dutch, and seems to have listed the
specifications backwards, they show all the cells having a higher short
circuit current at 40 lux than they do at 400 lux! That does not seem
right. Well this page does not list any typical values for the 4852C9
cell at all, just minimum values that are the same at 40 lux and 400
lux. That does not seem right either.

This BP4852C9 is much larger than a Solarbotics 3733, so I was expecting
a lot of power, but a quick check under a desklamp seems quite puzzling.

I'm getting about 5.8 volts open circuit, but only 5 to 10 ma. short
circuit, with the cell quite close to the bulb. This seems rather low
for its size. (I think I could do better with a pair of 3733's in
parallel.)

I understand that these solar cells are not as simple as we would like
to think, I know that under some conditions a bitty 2224 cell can
outperform the much larger 3733, so I'd really like to see the full
specifications for this monster of a cell.

Is anyone familiar with these larger cells?
